Does not work beyond 50 feet

Works great over short distances (less than 10 feet). However, when testing with a 35ft cable, the video sometimes flickered in and out during (I assume) high-bandwidth video. I moved my gear to an AV closet that has a range of about 60-70 feet and can't turn on video at all. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Video Cable
Cons
  • Available in black only

Works great for my remote monitor 200ft from PC

I used this to set up a 70 inch TV at the other end of the production floor to see our ERP software monitor screen. I haven't used it for audio or IR signals, only for video. For me it was plug and play with a 200 inch Cat6 cable. As long as it works great, no problems.

Pros
  • Accessories and supplies
Cons
  • Was damaged

Great solution for our conference room.

We have a medium sized conference room but the connection between the conference room table and our HDTV in the front of the room is limited, we used a VGA over Cat5e converter but the converter was close to its end lifetime. We've switched to a J-Tech digital HDMI extender and the picture quality has improved by at least 200%. We don't use IR for the remote, but if it works half as well as the HDMI extender, you're going to have a great experience.

Pros
  • Cables and Connections
Cons
  • I will add later

Works great over cable/satellite.

Works great for cable/satellite TV but I haven't been able to get any Bluray player or Apple TV to work with it, but they may have copyright protection that blocks this type of technology. I want someone to confirm that for me. If you're looking for a way to run cable/satellite TV in an extra room but don't want to rent or buy another box from your provider, this is a great solution. We connected it to our living room and then to our bedroom. Our house has ethernet connected to every room so I…

Great for my remote monitor at 200ft from PC

I used it to install a 70 inch TV at the other end of the production floor so the process monitoring screen of our ERP software can be seen in the factory. I don't use it for audio or IR signals, only for video. For me it was plug and play with 200ft of category 6 cable. So far it works great no problem.

Pros
  • For best performance we recommend using a 150ft Cat6 cable from J-Tech Digital. We GUARANTEE it will work with this extender. Please search ASIN "B01IPYVT3Y" on Amazon for more details. FREE LIFETIME SUPPORT: This item includes free lifetime manufacturer technical support and J-Tech Digital's free 1-year limited warranty.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Great solution for our conference room.

We have a medium sized conference room but the connection between the conference table and our HDTV at the front of the room is limited. We used a VGA over Cat5e converter, but the converter was nearing the end of its life. We switched to J-Tech Digital HDMI Extenders and the picture quality has improved by at least 200%. We don't use IR for the remote control, but if it works half the same as HDMI Extender, you'll have a great experience.

Pros
  • HDMI and IR signal extender for 200ft transmission over CAT5E/6/7 LAN cable. An Ethernet cable connection is required. Does not work when connected to mains power.
