Description of JVC UHMW PE 3 NATTR136 Polyethylene Conversion

JVCC UHMW-PE-3 UHMW Polyethylene Film Tape is a 3 mil ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene film with an aggressive acrylic adhesive. Its high chemical and abrasion resistance and extremely low coefficient of friction make this a versatile engineering material for many severe service applications. Materials slide freely over the tape surface with no-slip/stick tendency. High impact strength and shock-absorbing properties. Outwears Teflon many times over and is a good replacement when high-temperature resistance is not a requirement. Applications include: rub strips on conveyors; bearings and sliding surfaces; chutes and hopper liners; dead plates; wear pads; guide rails; tool tables and fences; furniture and drawer slides/runners. Standards Met: Chrysler MS-CH612, Ford ESB-M3G123-B, GM 6419M. Carrier/Backing: UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) polyethylene film. Adhesive: acrylic. Release Liner: white paper or blue film. Thickness: 9 mils (carrier, adhesive, liner) 5 mils (carrier, adhesive) 2 mils (adhesive) 3 mils (carrier) 4 mils (liner). Adhesion: 50 ounces per inch (to stainless steel test panel). Tensile Strength: 18 pounds per inch (longitudinal). Service/Operating Temperature: up to 300F. Elongation: 300%. Core: 3-inch diameter.

Ideal for wooden boxes!

That's adorable! Perfect for old wooden crates - smooth and holds up well. I've only tried it on one side of the interface. For heavier boxes, you can work on both sides. Amazing product. wax is better.

Excellent stuff.

Great job. I was renovating an old painted dresser for my granddaughter who was having trouble pulling out drawers. This stuff on top of the center rail and teflon tabs on the sides where the side rails make contact with the front, and she can easily pull them out when fully loaded.

. The wood slides over the wooden boxes to make them slide better. Works reasonably well

I bought this tape to line the bottom rails of wooden crates so they slide better. Worked well enough but thicker bands might be better for longer use. It does what I intended.
