High-Speed Ethernet and 🔌 Versatile USB 3.0 Multi Adapter Review

The device works fine, but I can't connect to the Ethernet port through the Mac. I am assuming it is related to the 5v port which needs extra power, however no cable was included to supply extra power.

Surprisingly it worked with my Nintendo Switch although the system requirements listed seem pretty obvious. Also, I was able to use the pro controller in wired mode on one of the USB ports, but it only charged when the Switch was powered on (it always charges using the onboard USB port).

Works very well, transmission speed is good, very well assembled. The internet is very stable. Make sure you have installed the drivers before plugging it in. The only complaint is that it gets quite hot, and I'm not sure if that's due to the USB 3.0 or just the length of the cable. Doesn't seem to affect performance. 10/10, will be updated if anything changes. :D

Great product. Works with MacbookPro and Henge Vertical Dock. I use this for two main reasons. 1. I wanted Ethernet, not Wi-Fi, and 2. I wanted to be able to charge my iPhone 6S. The product has worked flawlessly so far. Also, I've connected my MacbookPro to a Henge Vertical Dock connected via mini display port to 2 external 27" monitors along with Sub-Ethernet and am now charging my iPhone. Very satisfied!

And Ethernet is the main reason I bought this. Every time I use it I have to plug and unplug the ethernet cable to access the internet. It often takes more than 5 attempts to wait between each one to see if I'm connected. Once I finally get access, it runs for a while and then randomly disconnects me without warning. I often resort to (slower) WiFi to avoid interruptions. Needless to say, both of the problems I've described are very frustrating. I downloaded and installed the driver correctly…

Works on my MacBook Pro (Retina 15" Mid 2015) with OS X High Sierra 10.13 (17A365). I had to download and install the software from the J5create website. (sorry Revain won't let me post a link here) After installing (and rebooting) I also had to go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy and let the new 'extension' work. Immediately afterwards, the device appeared in my network settings as a connection option. It can also be used with Windows virtual machines in Parallels Desktop v11.2.3.
