I just started using these containers. While not the highest quality steel, they appear to be durable. Someone mentioned that they aren't high quality, but you actually use them for food. How much wear and tear can this cause? So far there have been no problems with the lids; I know restaurants use stainless steel to store food in the fridge, so I decided to give them a try. So far everything seems to be good.

I bought these for my daughter for school lunches as I wanted to avoid the so called BPA free plastic on the market. I put the soups in and put the container in her school bag. Never had a dirty cleaning. My daughter is 4 and has no problem opening containers. One downside is that they bend around corners easily. (photo shown) My daughter dropped the bin. The containers still work, but don't buy them if that bothers you. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

We've been using them for quite some time and now I'm starting to hate them because the rubber seals are so difficult to remove. I have to use a fork to pry the seal out of the lid and I've punctured a few of them as a result. The plastic cover doesn't even have a notch (like the others I have), making it easy to remove the gasket. If they are not removed for washing, they will simply form mold. The containers themselves are fine, but I've found better alternatives that don't use plastic lids…

Lids come with 3 ziplock boxes. Boxes as such aren't bad, although the steel isn't a very durable variety. But the fit of the lids is not very good. Sometimes they don't fit at all, especially the big ones. And I have to make 2 or 3 attempts and then they close. I mainly use the smallest to give my daughter a sliced apple or fruit. I put lids and boxes in the dishwasher, on the top shelf, and they hold up to regular washing. But I won't put lids on anymore as they are plastic and can melt/crack

I haven't tested how tight they are, but the lids are very tight. I noticed after the first wash of the top shelf in the dishwasher that there was moisture in the gasket in the lids which is not good for bacteria so I guess I removed and reinstalled the gaskets to make sure they were completely dry . Otherwise they are solid containers and over time you will see how durable the slip lids are. I will probably buy another set of these squares as they say they have upgraded lids. I didn't purchase
