Ready to paint. No stress. Wear gloves! I would say a real indigo dye bath doesn't work like that, it's an easy fix if you want to dye something quickly and call it indigo. But it's basically just a powder that you add to the water, I wasn't expecting less. Although the quality is high

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Socket required

Pretty good

I like it. I've been using the box for a long time, I like it. I'm having a problem keeping the pH balance of soda ash with this stuff. I don't get a metallic sheen on the top even after the first spot or two, which is generally an indication that it's still good for coloring items. When you dye indigo you know that while the water remains blue, as the "flowers" on the dye disappear along with the metallic appearance, it becomes a weaker dye. Items look blue rather than indigo. :)

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Dyeing indigo as an 8th grade chemistry lab

I wish I had known this dye was synthetic and not vegetable when I bought it but I am still very happy with the dye itself. The Instructions on the Jacquard website are good enough to get you started, but I'd like more details. Try not to get a "flower" on what you paint. This will make that part grayer. Since I dyed both the flour sack towels and some quilt yarn, I found the gray effect interesting, although it wasn't what I wanted, and I know better now. It only took me a minute to dip to get
