The eyelet is too small for hand quilt thread.

These needles cannot be threaded. The eye is longer but narrower than John James gold eye quilting needles. I even broke the needle threader trying to thread for hand quilting.

Pros
  • Quilting
Cons
  • No Instructions

These are my favorite hand quilting needles

These are my favorite hand quilting needles. I know some people have commented that they bend - in fact they bend after a period of use, but the same thing happens with all the other quilting needles I've tried. The reason I prefer John James needles to all others is that they are very sharp and stay sharp over a long period of time. With other brands of quilting needles, I always feel like I'm sticking a blunt object through the fabric. The John James needles glide well over the fabric…

Pros
  • Sewing supplies and accessories
Cons
  • Very expensive
