Jensen JENMR80 Portable 6 75In 6 00In Review

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice with electronics, I am thoroughly disappointed in this portable radio. The only pro is that it's easy to carry around, but its poor quality sound and weak signal make it barely usable. Not worth purchasing.

I liked it so much at first that I bought a second one. The first radio worked for a week, then the reception was almost zero. So I took the second one and used it for less than a week and it didn't work either. So that's it. I would never buy a Jensen like this again.

I remember going to the destination and picking up the radio first. I had my doubts about the radio, I live in LA which is riddled with interference left and right, I can pick up stations from San Diego, San Bernardino, Rosarito and at night I can pick up Kcbs from San Francisco. It could be better if the sound was louder, but it works if you have a long cable antenna. The indoor antenna works well and I can hear my stations in the office, it is a ground floor office with a number of booths…
