Good quality gear knob/shield, suitable as a replacement only. Sitting too high on the Golf/Jetta Mk4 pillar, lengthening the shifter by 1.5"+, confusing the driving route and interfering with the console.

Good quality product. It just sits a lot higher than the stock shift knob on my MKIV Jetta. Haven't measured yet but it looks and feels about 3 inches larger than the original. (clench your fist and put your hand on the shifter and it will be about the same higher)

Front derailleur is an inch higher than stock but no problem shifting. Shifter has no weight, so it has a very good typing feel. The material is not the same as my friend's mk6 GTI rear derailleur but still very comfortable to grip. The red accents aren't distracting either, so very tasteful aesthetic.

At around $20 this is a great item! The shift knob and the trunk look very classy. To find just a handle like the one in a 2010-up GTI can cost upwards of $100, not to mention the trunk. The chrome ring also looks premium. Luckily my Golf had an adjustable ring so removing and installing it took a minute at most. It only took me a pan head screw to get the old case and take it out and reinstall.
