JIIKOOAI Bookshelf Bookcase Magazine Multi Tier Review

This bookshelf looks great on my desk. My girlfriend and family tell me they love it. I have no experience with wood, but with a drill I put this together with no problems. However, the supplied screwdriver is not sufficient for this. It is convenient to help you get started and guide holes. Before that I had never assembled wood projects and found this to be a fun project.

Buchbaum seems to work well, looks nicer and stronger than I imagined. Overall pretty impressed. However, assembly with the supplied screwdriver is difficult if not impossible. The screws for the middle rows of shelves are clogged and you can't stick a screwdriver in there. I ended up having to use an angle drill. This is primarily a cosmetic issue as you can tighten the screws just enough to be structurally sound and cause minimal inconvenience of use.

This product looks exactly as described. As you can see from the picture, it works well for a small number of books. We use it in our youngest daughter's room. It feels solid, which is good. I may need to put a pad under the front to keep it from tipping forward with heavier books. Only real complaint about the directions. They were clean but we're so fine that I had a hard time using the small screwdriver that was included. As a result, I disassembled it and assembled it in a different order -

This would be a one star rating if there weren't a bookshelf to speak of ultimately. The instruction is designed as if it has screws and a screwdriver to assemble. There was nothing of the sort in the package; Luckily I had screws with a comparable shank width. The box it came in was haphazardly assembled and damaged; The pieces themselves appeared to be intact, but being laminated bamboo, there were cracks along the glued joints of several pieces.
