This strap does not fit snugly on clothing and will loosen with wear. I don't know if there is an issue with the buckle design, but the buckle design is such that the teeth are blunt, it doesn't cut into the belt well enough to maintain the fit. This causes the strap to loosen when worn. I could try getting a small file and sharpening the teeth a little, maybe that will solve the problem.

Excellent! I'm sick of woven belts with buckles that slip off the belt end when pulled (which is why I wear a belt), this one doesn't and it stays in place. I'm waiting for the black ones to be available and wish they were anthracite. I'm khaki in color and the lanyard matches the color of the belt. The buckle is made of non-ferrous metal (aluminum?), so I don't know yet if the metal detector works.

This belt is just what I needed as I've lost a lot of weight and I needed a smaller belt that doesn't cut into me when I lay down. It was easy for me to shorten it. I needed a strong belt and this was a good choice. teddy

I have ordered several outdoor canvas belts and this one is my favorite. I cut the belt to length and burn the top. The stiff canvas holds the pants well because it doesn't flex a lot. It is easy to tighten and the buckle has no jingling parts. However, the dark blue is darker than in the picture.

I had to trim the length of the belt and make a fuse but it can't keep a nice edge. It's a tight fit that pushes the belt through the buckle, making the front edge prone to fraying. I've already gone through several cut/melt cycles.

Excellent in all respects: size, color and length. Another reviewer commented that the strap was too long. If your waist measurement is less than 36, you may need to trim the belt if you don't want an excessively long "tail". It's easy to do. Simply cut to your liking with scissors and re-burn the edge with a match to prevent chafing at the cut.
