My wife bought me a pair of Tommy John Modal pants for $$$ - they seemed like a much cheaper alternative to the pants that have quickly become my go-to item during the COVID-19 pandemic. I received these lounge pants on April 24, 2020. I usually change my pajamas about every 2 days and don't sleep in my pants. I work from home most of the day and walk around the neighborhood a bit - I liked these lounge pants because they didn't look too "pajamas" and I thought with a sweatshirt over them…

Surprisingly soft and comfortable! But after the second wear there is a HUGE hole in the back, seems like the stitching just separated. It's easy to fix, we haven't even fixed it yet because we only wear it around the house, but still a shame they broke after the second wear.

Very nice light summer trousers or trousers for at home. They have a very long stride. I usually wear pants 38/29. Large size is too long. The average measures about 30 inches in inseam, which is fine by me. Please note the size chart says the average fits waist sizes 32-34, but the average fits my waist size 38 and also a 40 inch waist. The waist belt stretches a lot. These modal pants are not as durable as cotton, so they need to be treated with care.

So far so good. They are very soft and not too thick, but still cozy. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find lounge/sleep pants that don't have ribbed cuffs. Instead, I prefer this design and will likely buy more of these to have on hand. Can't comment on long-term quality yet as I've only washed them a couple of times, but I haven't noticed any pilling or degradation after washing. They feel very breathable and fit as expected. I almost always wear the middle one that I ordered.
