I have small hands and am retired. I lost my gingher scissors. Can be cut effortlessly. They seem sharp, but they're too big for my hand. They are also difficult to open and close. I will use until I can afford better scissors. If you only use it occasionally and have strong hands, this is a good buy.

As a left-hander I almost didn't use the scissors because they were very impractical. I'm glad I gave them a chance. The rubber (?) grip is smooth and has no corners that press on the area under the thumb and create a painful protrusion. They perfectly cut 2 layers of denim and clean cut chiffon, thin cotton and viscose. Great product for a low price.

I went to the hobby lobby to buy some grinding scissors. When I saw the $29 price tag, I bought Revain at the store to see if I could do better. Of course I found them for a third of the price and they work great. I'm not sure a pair of scissors that cost $20 more could do what they can't, but they totally met my needs, including cutting patches for my son's stuffed Halloween costume. They have a good heavyweight and cut very cleanly. I am very happy.
