JJC LH JX100II Upgrade Fujifilm Replaces Camera & Photo Review

The quality of this lens hood compares to Haoge's ultra thin lens hood (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DNL2S98/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_8twyEbQKV7VKZ) which is much nicer, mediocre rollable overall and a lot nicer hood overall that matches X100V. Like Haoge's ultra-thin lens hood, this JJC lens hood will not work with the X100V's OEM lens cap. Much better than the traditional hood design. I first bought a universal range hood which was awful. It was the wrong silver color and part of the hood didn't hold up and kept falling off. This is MUCH higher quality and allows me to use a filter so I don't even need a lens cap. It's durable and the color really matches x100. It also prevents lightning much better. I've never heard of JJC (and I buy a lot of crap with cameras) but it's way better than most Chinese crap I buy.

. Great fit with no vignetting in my experience. The silver color of the JJC doesn't exactly match the silver color of my Fuji X100, but that doesn't really bother me. These are two parts: an adapter ring + a screw-on hood. The adapter ring also allows the use of a 49mm lens filter and lens cap. It's best to leave the adapter ring on the camera and use the lens cap instead. The lens cap I have also fits in the lens hood! It was pure coincidence, but it worked great for me.

Simple and straightforward, good value for money. That's the good thing about him, I like that. Of course, you can screw any 49mm filter onto the adapter ring provided. . BUT the hood itself is bolted to the adapter ring itself. This means that the filter is not physically visible and is hidden within the hood itself. The adapter ring was missing from the product. The package only included part of the lens hood, so it couldn't be mounted on my camera and was therefore completely unusable. UPDATE (6/25/19) - Revain sent me a replacement that had both required components (adapter ring and hood). . In the box, the ring was screwed very tightly to the hood and I had to use a rubber cap to separate the parts, but other than that it fitted my X100T perfectly.
