I give them four stars because I was afraid to wear compression stockings and they are easy to put on. But there are some problems. I bought the sand in size XL which should fit a size 11 1/2 to 13. I wear 11 and find them comfortable in the calves but the foot length is too small. Another problem is that the seam on the fingers is not even, it is rounded and a little annoying. I bought 6 pairs of JOBST soSoft Ribbed Knee High Compression Medium compression stockings for my mother. As she gradually opened the boxes, we found that all the boxes were correctly labeled. However, 3 pairs are clearly packaged incorrectly. They are about 2 cm shorter than the other stockings and the feet are smaller. This might explain the somewhat odd reviews here. Website says shoe size must be ordered so I ordered medium which shows it fits US shoe size 7-9 for women. The box as well as the sock show they are medium sized. I can't imagine them being a 9 inch size as they cramp my toes. I wear women's shoes in size 7.5-8. The area of the foot from toes to healing is short and although the tissue is stretched it really isn't enough. I was expecting compression around my ankle and calf, not so much my toes, to heal.
