Excellent for basting English paper. I used Liberty of London Tana Lawn which is a very thin fabric. These needles took my knowledge of how to use these fabrics and how to sew well to a new level. There are some quality issues as the needles are not always sharp. If they can solve this problem then they are 5 stars
