Bought for my 6 year old who has outgrown his previous tap dances. The heel of these shoes is slightly higher than usual. My son reclaimed them because they punctured his toe and the smoke is very harsh, he is used to a hard sole that can bend a bit like his dance teachers. He returned the shoes and instead took a pair of the same ones as his old ones.

Bought them for a child and they lasted all dance season. They were comfortable and fit like the same size shoes a child normally wears. The healing is a bit higher than some other tap shoes, but it is balanced, so not like walking in tall healing shoes, but all the shoes are higher off the ground than other tap shoes. Though the kid wasn't embarrassed. Good price for shoes too.

I bought 2 of these for my kids. The sizes are true to size. New faucets should have well-fitting shoes. You don't need shoes that are too loose, especially when training young horseshoes. I think it's even important for the new Broadway Tappers. I used to buy shoes and then take them to a specialty store to double up on heels and taps, but have been unable to do this due to the closure of non-essential stores during COVID.
