I bought this because my current case had a Type-C USB port that I wanted to use for a newly purchased VR headset. However, my Asus Z490-V motherboard only had a 3.2 Gen 1 connector, which is not compatible with a USB-C Type connector. It worked like a charm! This little adapter is just what I need to connect the USB Type-C port on my NZXT H510 Elite case to my MSI X570 motherboard, it was missing a Type-C port but had two USB 3.0 ports. This particular connector is mated, which fits the rectangular connectors on my board, while the available 90 degree adapters wouldn't fit properly in my case.
