I was excited to keep a couple of Blitz gas canisters without spout caps. The lid fitted the spout, but one didn't fit snugly so it could come off if there was pressure in the jar or accidentally hitting something. I installed the cap on other spouts and found a tight fit. So I still give 5 stars. I believe a loose fit can be secured with a piece of plastic from a sandwich bag at the end of the spout before the cap is put on.

These replacement caps are not original. They seal the flash box and make it operational again. But there are two problems. First, the yellow cover does not snap into the cover's black collar, so it can fall off when the assembly is removed, making it easier to lose. Second, it also doesn't snap to the end of the inlet hose like the original, it's just a friction fit. Therefore, when used to temporarily seal a hose, it can be easily knocked off.
