👕 June Tailor T-shirt Conversion Ruler Review

I tried to buy this item twice and both times the product was broken when I received it. The first time the outer packaging was a bit damaged (but still intact) but the second time the packaging was perfect but the product is still broken. That only led me to conclude that the item is not as durable as it possibly should be. There was no option for a third replacement. So boo hoo!

This product is perfect for my t-shirt quilting project. It was a lot cheaper than the products available at my local craft stores and felt of the same quality. There are slots for smaller squares. I didn't use them on my square so I'm not sure which marker/pen is right for marking on your fabric. It is transparent and has markings to help you measure or center the fabric.

My niece asked me to make her a t-shirt quilt for her dorm room. I offered to help with the tailoring so she could choose and cut the logos on the shirts. The ruler made it easy to center the logo, align patterns, and adjust the width as needed. She has created an assortment of 10" and 12" squares and rectangles. Thanks to the t-shirt's shape-retaining lining, the precisely cut pieces are easy to put together. Acrylic is not flimsy and well worth the money.

This ruler is good for cutting fabric with a cutter knife. I only used the template cutouts because I didn't have a handle that would easily fit into the slots. It would be helpful if a pen/pencil/marker came with the ruler or if there was a recommendation. I wasn't sure what to buy and none of the writing implements I had fit in the slot and couldn't easily write on fabric. This is a very good product. I didn't give it 5 stars because there is a definite disappointment for my use. The t-shirt quilt I make is made from adult small unisex t-shirts. Many of these shirts are less than 15 1/2 inches from sleeve to sleeve. Resizing to a smaller size on the template (12 1/2) will not work as it would cut off/lose part of the t-shirt design. If you're using medium or larger adult shirts, a size 15 1/2 is probably perfect. This is a great product, it just didn't work as…
