I have two Justrite cans of this type - a 1 gallon that I use for 2 cycle mixes and one for other equipment. I know metal canisters help keep gasoline volatile much better than other materials as long as the hole is tightly capped when not in use. It can do just that. It is well built and does a very good job of preventing the petrol from evaporating thanks to a strong spring that keeps the cap tight over the opening. First off I have to say yes it is durable and well made. This can be fine if you want to get to a gas station quickly to fill up your small gardening tools, but not ideal for seasonal fuel storage or using as an emergency fuel station for your car.
