Paid a little more for this unit but it was worth it. My problem was finding a block that would fit the iso mounts on a '92 Toyota pickup truck. This block fits perfectly into the mounts, so no cutting or trimming is required. I like that the display is nice and clear. It will also dim when the parking lights/headlights are turned on. So far happy with this purchase.

I was looking for a new radio for my truck. I use factory speakers with a 10" subwoofer in the back and this radio sounds fantastic! This is in my 1989 Mazda Miata NA6 base which had a 90's aftermarket radio. Installation was easy. I wanted something with BT streaming. The settings are a bit fiddly, as I expected. This just pushes two 5.25 kickers and then the pre-outs go to a subwoofer. BT connects to my phone in a second but once connected I have no problem. Can also connect to Pandora, Spotify, etc. I like that it has a USB and an audio jack. I didn't want anything high end, but I was still happy with the quality.

I would like to start by saying that JVC needs to stop making annoying radios. I have 2 main problems with this radio. First is the wiring. It's not that hard to hook up, I've hooked up a lot of radios in the past, but this thing is very wire sensitive. I'm going to hit a pothole and it will false blink and basically shut off. I have never installed such software but it was very easy to install and set up. I've read that some people are having trouble connecting their iPhone via bluetooth and I just want to say that I haven't had this problem. Many people have recommended other brands to me. They were wrong about that. These things have more tweaks than liberal things, it's gender and sexuality. Somehow I can raise the audio and it works as written. I can choose speaker size, tweeter size, vehicle type, whether I have a preset EQ with bass boost, a basic EQ kit with bass mods and treble, or go low with all those numbers.
