There is nothing for the tops to hold on to, so it falls off when you lift or move the cord. All cord locks have come loose from the adhesive and are unusable.

I was looking for an item that would hide a disgusting looking extension cord with numerous electrical connections. This cable management box did it!

Good stuff. Looks great and the surge protector fits in nicely. The material is a lightweight plastic shell and the wood top comes off easier than I'd like. All in all, this is a good item at a great price.

Sturdy, well made, does a good job of hiding the tangled wires and wall warts that proliferate throughout the home. The wooden lid feels comfortable. Just make sure you leave enough room so the wires don't get pinched. It comes with a selection of colored velcro straps and zip ties that can help make your desk look that little bit better. I liked the combo packaging concept. Breakaway zip ties are incredibly useful, but I don't need stick-on zip ties. I have mixed feelings about raw bamboo lids. This means I have to wait for the mineral oil I applied to soak in and I was hoping to finish my cat shelter today!
