Just save yourself and your kids the frustration and buy real rocket helicopters. ONE out of 12 flew normally and let go many times. All lights worked but most of the headgear was cracked making starting impossible. The blades are thicker than the Rocket Copter, which I liked at first, but turned out to be very fragile. Most only survived one launch, a very disappointing lesson.

I bought these knowing they were going to be the cheaper version but within the first 5 minutes of play these 3 broke in the same spot due to 3 different people flying. They flew great and worked well for those 5 minutes but definitely not worth keeping and hoping the others don't break either so I'm sending them back. ***Added, I asked for a refund but for some reason they sent me a replacement set instead, they're still cheap and broke 2 straight away, I'll probably return them as well.

When used with real rocket helicopters, they cannot compete. I bought fakes due to lack of time. Unfortunately, the elastic slips out of the hook hole (which faces down, in the same direction you pull the elastic) when you try to walk. As an adult I found a workaround but it was impossible to teach 10 small children. When you could launch them, they didn't fly, spin or whistle like real ones. Also, the handful broke. Everyone quickly became disillusioned with them and lost interest.

Launcher "Slingshot" did not work. The two holes holding the rubber band in place didn't secure the band and it kept slipping out when we pulled on the band in preparation for launch. It's very uncomfortable to pull and one side slips out. This happened about half the time we used it. I've had other brands that worked just fine. In addition, the helicopter crashed with a slight spin for a slow descent. We tried folding the blades less and less to get better descent flight but nothing worked…

I don't know what people's problem is. Of the twelve sets that arrived, one turned out to be defective and only light. There are no instructions, but it is easy to fold along the dotted line. Rubber is just rubber. I have twins 6s and a 7 year old. Nobody got into trouble. The running tape comes out of the rack, but once you wrap it around and put it back in there's no problem. The product was very weak. Got a 4th of July package for the kids who thought I was going to win uncle of the year and completely failed me. After the kids opened the product was of really poor quality. The tip of the hook, where it grabs the elastic, disengages with very little force. In other words, if that part of the hook breaks, you won't be able to pick them up. 2. The rubber band of the slingshot comes out of the side slots after use. Older kids can easily get it back, but younger kids…

I was afraid it was a cheap fake. Didn't want to spend real money because we lose it in the trees and on the roof. Alexa let us know they were here so my 4 year old son and I went to the mailbox to get them. He opened them and we found they were individually wrapped so perfect for a party. They looked very familiar to me, so we took a real rocket helicopter to compare it to. To my surprise, they are exactly the same, only without the rocket helicopter decal.
