I have a 14" K&N air filter on my big block Chevrolet. After installing 4150 Holley to replace 4160 Holley, a flat base was required for clearance. The 14 -" Backplate is NOT CHROME, but polished aluminum despite the advert. I also have a 1/4" clearance from the edge of the K&N air filter and the lip of the backplate. Not the clean, consistent look I EVER want aimed at
