Great products. Maybe out of luck

Great products in their own right. I had rust on one which was sad but I just got over it as I needed to replace the rotors asap.

Work's Great Best in Brake System

I installed them on my 2005 Acura RSX (base) and was very happy with the results. I don't have any squeaks, braking performance seems good, and the steering vibrations I experienced from my old worn out rotors are completely gone. All parts were included and installation was easy. I was able to do front and back in a weekend (first time)

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • so far so good

quality product! fits the brake system

The kilt arrived intact and on time. There were enough directions, but Google was better with videos for the front and back of my wife's 2005 Civic Si. Valuable tools to have on hand, $10 caliper compressor at local auto parts. And a $15 impact wrench. Both are required. The brakes work great. Be sure to pay attention to the brake in the instructions. I would definitely buy them again!

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Crumpled

Not everything I expected

These brakes have been fitted for almost 3 weeks now and I've put just under 1000 miles on them. The zinc coating around the perimeter of the rotors began to flake off and oxidation began to show here in the slots and in the drill holes. These rotors are supposed to be corrosion resistant, so I'm a bit disappointed in that aspect. The rest of the brakes work quite well.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Attention buyers, this only applies to the basic model!

I'm sure these are great brakes but be very careful when buying! They are for the base model only and are NOT compatible with the Type S. This is part number K2387, the RSX-S uses K2441. When using the Revain-provided 'Will this fit my car' tool, it doesn't ask if it's a plain S or a Type S. This is a description error and I have notified Revain and they tell me they are working on a fix. As always, Revain's customer service has been top notch and I received a full refund for the parts I…

They worked great at first but

On my 2006 RSX. At first they worked great, but after 5-7 months they started whistling, whining and creaking. Careful examination showed that they were not worn, stressed or deformed. I couldn't figure out what was causing the "squeal" stop caused by the friction of the rotors and pads :-( Luckily. I drove cross country to Arizona for a month. While in Arizona, the noise stopped completely (? ) It may have been dry heat, lack of humidity or a high to high general temperature, but as soon as I…
