I looked at all those precious metal coffee tins made in China and there was nothing important that you could really tell apart. Someone might have a measuring spoon or other gadgets attached, but it's basically the same thing. What I liked about the coffee maker is that it's made of glass and is opaque, except for a slight transparency on the bottom that shows what's in the container. It looks neat, easy to use, well made. Very disappointed for two main reasons: 1) Deceptive size: I bought this container to store pre-ground coffee. It is described as 15 oz but will not fit a 11.4 oz can of ground coffee. 2) Design flaw: I hand washed as recommended, now condensation has collected inside between the glass jug and the outer metal lid. I love everything about this coffee container. It's simple and elegant. Its design keeps my coffee fresh as the lid closes it tightly. I've read other reviews complaining about the size and not fitting in a full bag of coffee and I was going for the smaller one but figured the larger one would look better next to my car. I grind and store one full 10 ounce bag of coffee at a time and have enough room for more. I love it! Pretty sure it will fit a whole bag of beans from a 10 ounce bag too…

If you want your coffee beans to stay fresher longer, I recommend this glass storage container. I was a little hesitant at first as to whether this would be a worthwhile investment because of the price, but I definitely think so. It's very durable, the glass is very thick, looks high quality and looks great on my coffee station. Love the fact that it has a little pen to mark what month you put the coffee beans in for future reference! Also, I checked to see if there was any leakage just in case
