Smooth and Sharp - Cartridges and Refills

Very sharp but smooth unlike Feather blades which are very sharp but not as smooth. This is the best I've found for my vintage 1955 Gillette Tech and Super Speed. Update: They also work really well with a Feather Popular (very soft) razor and my Gillette Slim vintage adjustable razor set at #3 (one setting less than what I normally use). For moderately aggressive Merkur 34c and 23c razors, Gillette Silver Blues, Polsilvers, and Astras are just as good (and cheaper), but for soft razors like…

Cartridges and refills Mm'KAI

For Merkur 39C, for me they outperform the yellow spring box, not by much but definitely noticeable, and KAI is a little cheaper so it doesn't hurt. .

Great blades - Gentlemen

I have been shaving with DE blades for about ten years. During that time I've tried a number of different blades and these are the best of the ones I've tried. I gave up on Astra Platinum blades because their quality has gone. Glad I switched to this one. I have SENSITIVE skin and they leave no redness or marks and make my face look so smooth. I shave about 4 per blade on average, so the cost per blade is more acceptable. I'll count 100 next time.

  • Comfortable to use

My new favorite blade!

Will be my favorite blade. Before that, I settled on Polsilver SI (favourite), Wilkinson Sword (second favourite), and Personna Blue (prize). I've read that this blade was thicker yet sharp, and I don't know the thickness, but it seems to strike a balance of sharpness without being too sharp (it's a feather to me) like other blades that I like. . I have found that I can use this blade with almost any of my many razors and get a great shave. I seem to have fewer ingrown hairs (that's why I…

My Favorite Razors & Blades

These are my favorite blades. I can use them for 2 weeks and get fewer cuts than 2 days with all other blades including the feather. I think they are stiffer and less prone to flexing while shaving, preventing nicks caused by blade flexing.

  • Complete Set
Cons
  • Poorly Thought Out

Sorry Pero, Kai just replaced you!

I bought these blades to try in a Q Shave Futur clone I just bought as a travel shaver. I tried feather blades in it and had to set it to 4.5 to get it to cut and the performance wasn't great. Put in a Kai blade and set it to 3 and you'll have the smoothest shave I've ever had. No nicks, cuts or scratches like the springs. I also use Kai in my Merkur Progress. These blades shave quickly, smoothly and without irritation.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • I'll text back

The first shave is amazing. I have a pretty stiff beard and this one.

First shave is fantastic. I have a fairly stiff beard and these cut it with no tension. Maybe my favorite blade. No frills, no silly blade pressure, no silly sealed paper packaging, just quality and sharp blades.

Pros
  • New to my collection

No frills, looks like a great blade in the box

I shave the AS-D2 every other day and my beard is thick, rough, like cut braided steel cable. I have moderately sensitive skin and I love it when it's smooth like a baby's. I've tried many modern ultra-sharp blades and prefer Russian Gillettes as well as Japanese quills. I am currently working on this Kai blade set and they can replace feathers at my choice. They cut easily and smoothly and don't leave me hot or red from any tears. I usually do two passes and one pass with these Kai Blades. The
