My son likes these and it's nice because he can put them on himself (he is 2 years old) which is very handy when there are three people trying to get out the door! He doesn't keep tripping in them like in other boots he's had, and they're much warmer insulated than your regular wellies. So they are without snow boots from the rain.

I bought these for my son in November for our New Year's trip to Boston. We live in Los Angeles so he's only worn them a couple of times. It almost never rains and it never snows. In March we went to Boston and of course the boots came with us. There was still snow on the ground for several days after we arrived, and my son loved to play in it. This is a very flexible boot that can be used as a winter boot. I disagree with previous reviewers who say it's not possible. It is not insulated but lined. I have attached photos. The boot is covered with a layer of thin fleece over the entire surface of the boot, including around the bottom of the foot.
