Powerful center channel that perfectly matches the Q150.

I bought a KEF Q150 as L/R in a 5.1 system and was looking for a KEF center speaker. Some people online have recommended buying another Q150 to use as a center channel to save money. However, I chose this Q250c and am very glad I did. It sounds great and I've been using it for a few weeks without the subwoofer (prior to purchasing the SVS subwoofer). I noticed that it produces amazingly beautiful low frequencies. It really brings the movies to life in my media room and the dialogue is crystalโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Center speaker
Cons
  • High price

Fits perfectly (except for the price) with Q150 magnetic grids

Bought the Q150 at a retail price of 300. Then I realized I needed to find a suitable center channel and decided the 250c would suit my needs. As far as I know, this device is not commercially available, but it is impressive and, in my opinion, worth the money. The driver works well in the cabinet thanks to the unique driver, and the woofers deliver powerful bass. I use mine with a powered subwoofer but you can choose that if you are in an apartment. I really like this speaker, the only wish is

This is the "budget " center channel we/YOU have been looking for!

In my personal opinion one of the best center channels available. I'm not a music lover but I can tell you what I like/like and for me it's the KEF Q-Series. The Q250c paired with the Q150 bookshelf speakers is a dream come true for the price ($300-$450 retail/refurbished). I was able to compare ELAC Debut 2.0 c5.2, Polk Audio s35, Klipsch rp440c and even the old Onkyo THX series center channel. The KEF Q250c crushed them all. Bass response is fast, tight and thunderous! Mids are rich, full ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The Q250c benefits greatly from a new sealed midrange enclosure that helps improve sound clarity and delivers cleaner, punchier bass.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
