Entry and sizing issues but overall good product

Good tent, Kelty have great products. The reason for the 3 stars is that the entrance is strange for 2 people, it will obviously be crowded, but the exit at the end is less than desirable. For one person I would give the best rating

Pros
  • Test for a year
Cons
  • boring packaging

I love this tent! good for tents

I just bought this river rafting tent and it was perfect. It is very easy to assemble which is a big plus. This is the perfect size for 1 and some of your belongings. I can't imagine there being 2 people in this tent as it would be very crowded. It feels sturdy and well made. Overall I'm very happy with it.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

Overview at first glance

Very easy to install and dismantle. Under 10 minutes together. Without tears. The bottom feels thin so you'll definitely need floor space. Very small and quite light. I would say that 2 people is designed for 2 small people. I'm a big guy so it's just perfect for me and my gear. Will update after a few uses if I remember.

Great tent for camping and even hiking

Build Quality: I've taken this tent on 4 or 5 hikes, one of which was a night hike. The tent has never broken and seems to be holding up well. I use it with the recommended base (it's a bit annoying that I had to buy something else). Pack size: When I put this in my backpack, it's about the size of a sleeping bag (maybe a little smaller). I pack the tent in a bundle at the bottom and the arches separately (vertically) in a bag. The fit is much better than putting everything in the original bag…

Bigger isn't always better

Bought for my Boy Scout son. He loves to. It is easy to install, warm and unobtrusive. It folds up snugly and nicely, and he can easily carry it around in his leg box with all his gear. His foot cabinet is also placed there. He used it in heavy rain and stayed dry (he also uses a tarp underneath) and he used it in the snow and said it was warmer than he expected with his sleeping bag. He also used it when the weather was nice. He hasn't had to camp with it yet, but it seems light enough to…

If it didn't have small holes it would be great

After I bought an inexpensive Coleman tent for a light weekend job and returned it to Costco that started falling apart the first time I set it up (in my backyard) I decided to try the Kelty, believing that they will be better. Generally better. After I set it up (back in the yard) to check everything, it still had two small holes in the screen mesh and one in the bottom material. While the 3 small holes don't really matter and will likely show up at some point anyway, I don't know. I don't…
