After I bought an inexpensive Coleman tent for a light weekend job and returned it to Costco that started falling apart the first time I set it up (in my backyard) I decided to try the Kelty, believing that they will be better. Generally better. After I set it up (back in the yard) to check everything, it still had two small holes in the screen mesh and one in the bottom material. While the 3 small holes don't really matter and will likely show up at some point anyway, I don't know. I don't want them to start getting worse and this shouldn't be a starting point. I contacted Kelty directly to see if I could get at least some repair tape and we can call it good. I don't have to try to ship the product back (expensive and on time from HI) and no one has to replace it and pay shipping again. After contacting someone I sent an email with some photos of the holes (Revain does not currently accept my uploaded photos) but haven't received anything since. I'll just fix the small damage it took in the process and move on as I'm just out of the return window, but I shouldn't be doing that. Disappointing product QA to say the least.
