Great Price - Firing Supplies

I am a professional potter and use them to remove burrs left on pots after firing.

Pros
  • Great Selection
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

It's OK for my purposes

We have another brand in the class that I like better. However, it is excellent for removing bumps after glaze firing, as well as smoothing the bottom so items lie flat.

Pros
  • White
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Must-have tool

I gave it four stars because I found the stone at the clay store for half the price! Otherwise it would have gotten five stars. Perfectly smooths the "leg" of thrown bowls, mugs, vases, etc. Without a stone, my products would scratch the surfaces of the table and countertop after the last high heat fire. I find Revain's prices to be very competitive in general; not this time.

Pros
  • Stilt Stone (1)
Cons
  • Crumpled Pack

Excellent little sharpener

This item was a hit with the public pottery of which I am a part. That's high quality. Potters use small looping tools to trim excess clay from the bottom of the pots. These tools get a little expensive and boring over time. I searched everywhere for a whetstone that would fit small spaces, but to no avail. This little tool makes it possible. Two potters in my class also work with wood and they were excited when they saw this tool and immediately asked to use it. Now they are using it to help…

Pros
  • Stone for cleaning stilts left over from kiln firing
Cons
  • Slightly torn
