The price seems very good compared to the original. However, not in the same quality. This filter feels very thin, barely thicker than the original filter. About 1/3 the original size, if not less. I installed it but haven't actually used the vacuum yet. I'll have to update once I use the vacuum a few times so you'll know if it's holding up or not.

I didn't realize how dirty (to say the least) my old filter had gotten. I haven't changed it since I bought the vacuum, hmm a few years ago around 5. When I changed the bag I noticed that it was caked with dirt and pet hair. I'm surprised I didn't kill my vacuum cleaner! The sucking got really bad, but it was so gradual that I didn't even notice. I replaced the original Sears filter on my Kenmore Whispertone canister vacuum with this filter. This is an exact replica but much cheaper than the Kenmore part. In this kit you get two filters (two thin white pre-filters and two thicker black ones). Remember to install the white filter on the bag side and the black filter on the motor side. Will buy this again and recommend this filter as a direct replacement for the original Kenmore filter that comes with the Whispertone cylinder vacuum.

I was glad some of the other reviewers pointed out that some of the suggestions were for CF2 and didn't match the Kenmore machine we had. I checked the manual and indeed we needed a CF1 filter. When I received them I put one in and it fit perfectly. That's one of the reasons I read reviews.
