Very cheap but didn't work very well

I bought this for my husband as he usually plugs his iPod into the cassette jack in his car. I've seen others work well but this one took some financial effort to get it playing the correct station and once you got it there it only took a minute or two. If I bought it again, I'd shell out the money and buy the original.

Works best in sparsely populated cities

Works very well, but works best in sparsely populated areas. I live near New York so reception is not clear. But when it works, it works. I bought it mainly for long-distance travel in areas with few good channels, so it should suit my needs. Also very easy to set up and use. Plug it into your iPod, tune into 3 stations and you're done. I would give 5 stars if reception could be improved.

no luck with this

I was able to get it to work but the sound quality was very poor. This is the second type of FM station I've tried - I think the search is on again. With these things it's probably trial and error until you find one that works. I liked the fact that you can use this with any radio, not just in the car, but I may have to resort to the car-only type. If all I hear is noise, forget it.

Form Beats Function

I bought this because it was the smallest fm transmitter for the ipod nano. It integrated well with the iPod and I had no trouble picking a station. The real problem was static. I tried several "clear" FM channels in the Nashville area but couldn't get a good, clean signal on any of them. There was always hiss or hiss in the background. I think this transmitter just isn't strong enough. I have also tried placing it in several places in my car. I would not recommend that. I have a friend who has

Almost as much as you can get (self-powered) for the new iPods

If you need an FM powered set, stay with this set. Luckily you have a pretty decent device. Not as loud and powerful as the Griffin iTrip, but unlike the iTrip, this thing turns on every time you play a song. I don't know your requirements but it's quite big for me. It's damn small. I can even put it in an iPod case with my headphones. Pretty cool deal, I like that aspect. Of course, it's not as good as an active Kensington FM transmitter, but it gets the job done when it needs to. I removed a…

Wireless but not the best bang for the buck

Wireless was the reason I bought this transmitter for my iPod nano but it just does NOT work like another transmitter I have purchased that plugs into a 12 volt cigarette lighter socket for power use (and charge the iPod). ). It seems that since the Kensington transmitter is battery powered by the iPod, it doesn't have the same signal gain as my iTrip 12V. It's not that it doesn't work, you just have to find the right spot in the car (next to the antenna or radio) that works best. Same goes for
