🔀 Soft Lambswool Queen Blanket - Biddy Murphy, Traditionally Woven in Co. Kerry, Ireland - 90"x109 Review

Cozy and Warm Large Blanket. Soft and gentle. Very well done. Woven by Kerry Woolen Mills, of course for its superior quality and craftsmanship. Thicker than most wool products on the market sold by other well known retailers and manufacturers. Yellow Marigold is an earthy, muted ocher with hints of orange and saffron that pairs well with greens and darker indigo and blues, as well as limestone, granite and most woodwork.

I had trouble finding a comfortable duvet for my king bed that hung well on both sides. I have sinus problems and need to sleep in a cool room (windows open) but I like to be warm and cozy under the covers. I bought this blanket to layer under my relatively light summer bedspread but still heavy enough to keep us comfortable under the air conditioner. This one is surprisingly soft. It is ideal for indoor use in cool rather than cold temperatures. I plan to order another one for my guest room.

The perfect light, warm blanket. Supported me in the last temperatures as a teenager (thermostat on 61) with a flannel sheet, cotton blanket and light duvet. Everything is breathable, unlike the heavy synthetic blanket I replaced it with which wakes me up from overheating and sweating. Washed in Woolite, hand wash, cold water. OK. You may think a duvet would be a delight, but last night I put this fabulous duvet on my bed for the first time and it is amazing. I live where it's a bit cold and since we live on propane we lower the temp at night so it gets cool. When winter came I put a cotton thermal blanket on the bed but it was cold in bed so I put on another thermal blanket and it was still cold. This is our second wool comforter that we have purchased for our king bed in our California bedroom. Our first blanket (from a French wool mill) was bought for winter weather (we live in upstate New York near the Canadian border) but wasn't made for summer.
