Ready to use

This ballast worked as expected. I replaced one that only contained a lightbulb. After some trial and error, I was able to disconnect the cables from the old ballast and plug the cables from this new ballast into the original sockets. The ballast works great.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Replacement ballast for Good Earth Lighting pendant light

The replacement ballast worked perfectly. This is the second ballast I have replaced in my Good Earth Lighting pendant light. I got the first replacement ballast directly from Keystone and it lasted 7.5 years. Pretty easy install, use a toothpick to de-energize the sockets to remove the old ballast wires

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Nothing included

Great for two years.

I better change these ballasts because I need them every two years. I have two devices that use them and this seems to be how long they last. Two years is normal, and then for some reason the light goes out and no longer shines. Ballasts are cheaper and easier to replace than complete fixtures, which is why I keep buying them.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Requires socket

Make sure your device is turned off. Don't change, CHANGE!

Purchased for the ceiling. According to a Revain reviewer who envisions it, it's possible to change the wires on the two connectors while it's possible. I found this method easier said than done. So I decided to connect the outgoing wires of the plugs to the wires of the new ballast with nuts of the right size. Always with Tranquillity!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Works perfectly!

I just don't understand how there are thousands of lamps in local shops and very few ballasts. Of course, that's not on the shelves, and there was nothing to refer to. The price is a bit high. Too bad because if it were a little cheaper I'd buy two and keep one as a spare (pay attention to the Keystone Technology marketing team?). Next time I'll just buy a new lamp.

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • so far so good

Much better quality than my EB-226-1-TP-GEL

Bought to replace my EB-226-1-TP-GEL in my living room lamp. This product was of much better quality than the ballast that came with the instrument. This ballast had solid copper wire, not just braided. The wire was long enough to easily screw into the old rebar. Before replacing the ballast, be sure to turn off the switch and check that there is no voltage with a multimeter.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • crumpled

What happened to the built-in sockets?

I bought this ballast based on the 04/2014 answer to the question that it has built in plugs. The same ballast was available for significantly less, but I passed based on this answer as I didn't want to deal with the hassle of wiring in the plugs. I wish I could save my money and buy a cheaper one because this one does NOT have BUILT-IN PLUG. There was also another ballast picture showing installed forks at the time of my purchase. This image has since been removed, but I'm stuck with a bloated

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
