We removed the ceiling fan and installed this lamp in its place. It's great and at such a low price! Easy installation but one note: (in our case) a black wire and a red wire had to be connected together for the light switches to be used.) Otherwise it's perfect. This meets my needs for a polished nickel dual bulb light fixture with alabaster swirls. Combos are not easy to find. It works well in bright light, which is what I wanted. This lamp was simply installed in place of an old lamp, very similar but brass in color and a yellowed ball. I prefer the Kichler lamp because the bulb is neutral white and the foil reflector behind the bulbs is silver so it gives off a much more neutral light overall. The bracket contains a very thick insulating layer. You'll probably have to remove some of these to get the screws to the bracket. I have three lamps in the room I was going to install these in and I wanted them all to match.
