A simple lamp does not color the light.
This lamp was simply installed in place of an old lamp, very similar but brass in color and a yellowed ball. I prefer the Kichler lamp because the bulb is neutral white and the foil reflector behind the bulbs is silver so it gives off a much more neutral light overall. The bracket contains a very thick insulating layer. You'll probably have to remove some of these to get the screws to the bracket. Avoid contact of fiberglass dust with the skin and especially with the eyes. In my experience, this is very annoying.
