I think you get what you pay for. I've noticed many identical products for sale at Revain and I'm pretty sure they all come from the same factory. If you buy one of these don't expect it to last long. Mine died after 6 weeks and doesn't go to the landfill :(

I'm not a mad scientist, but I can pretend. This blue plasma sphere is perfect for my "experimental" experiments. I created a monster, a new robotic pet, and even a replica of my late Uncle Sam (he was rich). Some may call it a toy, but I call it great electricity.

We bought two of these for my sons. The first stopped working after two days. We thought it might be the plug/power adapter so we tried the plug from a working device - no, still not working. The other block worked until 01/16/2021 when he also died. Very disappointing to say the least.

Given the generally good reviews, I was dying to keep this plasma globe. However, I and my 9 year old son who it was intended for were severely disappointed. Considering the price it shines and weighs what it's not worth and it didn't work! I suspect I have a defective one but for $30 you would expect the item to be a little heavier but it just looks like a plastic ball placed on top of cheap plastic. I would not recommend this product.

So cloudy it's hard to see. Inside it looks like drywall dust, but it's clean in small areas that make it look dirty. Definitely some serious quality control issues. I'm not sure what it's made of, but it smells awful and literally had to wash my hands right after touching it. Smells like stink bug. I'll say it looked cool when it was on, but the parts inside the glass where it's transparent rather than opaque really stand out. I'd rather pay more for one that's clean and doesn't stink :)

If I couldn't give any stars I would. I can't believe anyone thought it was okay to broadcast. First off, the Revain box was perfect. The box containing the plasma ball was damaged. It literally looks like someone has kept this in their basement for 20 years and decided to sell it (something you'd buy on eBay if you expected it to look like it). I have decided to buy 2 of these plasma globes, one for each side of my desk. Delivery was on time and I installed both. One thing I noticed is that the first one I used has a curved antenna, but other than that it works well and is sensitive to noise. The other has a direct antenna, but also does not respond to sound.
