This part broke during assembly and the screws are very cheap and can be loosened with a few turns of a screwdriver. I can't believe anyone would sell a product like this, especially if it's for security purposes. If it breaks when assembling, how did it pass child safety quality control?

The installation instructions could use a little tweaking, no measurements for the second set of fasteners, just told to install on the wall where they would line up (to paraphrase it). This Kidco window screen cannot be assembled as the parts do not fit together. I gave up after 6 hours of wasted effort through lots of assembly/disassembly, first following the instructions and then trying different sequences and finally even trying different tools (recourse to pliers and levers) - all to no avail. I needed something to protect the inside of our bedroom window so our son wouldn't accidentally bump into the window and break it. It's super easy to set up and easy to remove too (you'll need a drill and a screwdriver). The reason for the lack of a star is that I wanted the screen to have a feature that allows you to pull it super tight. There is no way to really customize the feed as there is a place to place the posts. I tried putting some clips on the sides to stretch it but they popped out
