just had to glue the bed together in the end as nothing fit (according to the instructions), the step broke the first day my son used it to climb into the bed. However, after applying Gorilla Glue to the whole thing, everything is fine now.

My son really liked this car. The only issue we had was under the pillow area, there is a raised area - you can't see it in this photo - it's under all the pillows. But my son often hit his head. We always have a blanket on the mound to help with injuries. Pretty easy to assemble. We've had it for about a year with no problems.

First of all, my son loves his new racing bed. And I recommend it, but only if you're smart enough to deal with problems in production. The assembly took about two and a half hours, but mainly because of the strange obstacles I had to overcome. The wheels keep the bed off the ground, but there weren't enough holes in one wheel. And the wooden planks that the mattress rested on weren't long enough to screw on either side. But other than that it wasn't bad for the money.

This bed is so cute! BUT, if I had to repeat it, I'm not sure I would buy it for my grandson. As others have mentioned, the step is slippery and the protrusion of the running board can cause painful bruising on the chin as well as the overhang on the headboard (you have to look carefully). I bought non-slip pieces to put on the step and pipe insulation that was easy to cut to fit the head and foot rails. Now he climbs with much more confidence and everything looks good.
