We've tried three types of practice sticks and these are the best! If you push too hard the sticks will cross - just teach them to be gentle, that's fine. And the ridged tips are still a bit slippery when trying to pick up spicy noodles. (Honestly it makes no difference to me using regular adult chopsticks.)
