Bought this to dye my daughter's hair for a costume. I was able to get it working but it took a long time to apply so it looked decent. The sticks leave color stains on the hair and the hair definitely doesn't have a natural texture afterwards. It's more like spraying hairspray on your head. Her hair is thinner (but not too thin) so maybe that was important, but overall it wasn't great.

My kids wore this to preschool for Crazy Hair Day. It was easy to use. My kids liked it. I have a platinum blonde son and it showed up beautifully in his hair. I was blown away by how good these hair chalks are and how easy they are to use. I did a full spectrum for the Miami Pride Parade, even on my peppery silver salt marsh, and the look was striking. However, I have also received comments from designers saying that it is also stylish and can be worn every day! Don't waste your money on fully colored hair! I have brown dark hair and wasn't sure if the color would show through. The more you rub it in, the lighter it gets (see photo above)! I am very disappointed in them. I bought them for Halloween and they were very difficult to use! It has been said that it would be visible on dark hair, but that is not the case. Based on the great reviews I bought these for my daughter for Halloween. Big disappointment. She has dark brown hair and the color is almost invisible.
