Honestly I'm not sure how effective these masks are without built in filters but more importantly it fits my baby. She is 4.5 years old and the one with the loops around her ears always fell off because her smaller, softer ears and/or her hair got in the way and immediately slipped off. Even with adjustable straps or if we make up a loop and tie it, they always manage to slip off because it's so small. The adjustable cable is especially helpful.
