After just a week or two of use, the adhesive started to peel off and the tray came loose from the underside. As other reviews have noted, small balls of foam pop up everywhere. I had to throw it away.

Purchased in June. Used a few times then kept in a bag for later use. After 2 months I open the bag and the glue holding the beanbag section peeled off and all the styrofoam balls came out. It's either very old or poorly made.

First of all, the slot has to be a little further back, otherwise the iPad could tip over. The biggest problem is that it didn't even take two weeks before it started bending where the tablet slot is! The last desk I had was made out of cardboard and lasted almost two years before it started to break. It was a waste of money.

This portable lap desk was poorly made. The cushion fell off the wooden table and the styrofoam balls began to trickle out. So I returned this item. I received confirmation that the company received the item six days ago and I am still waiting for my refund to be processed. I do not recommend this item.

I might pick, but I have the wooden one and it just seems cheap and unfinished. The edges are all rough and it looks like it will chip off very easily. The picture for this product showed that it looks nice, finished and smooth. This is not what I received. Even the surface looks rough. I had to get rid of the plastic parts. It's definitely coming back.

I bought a much larger and more expensive desk but found it a little bulky when resting on the couch or in bed. Still with my iPad case folding/dropping in mind I bought this one. I was a bit concerned by other writers' comments about being thin, but that's what I like best about it - very small and light. I just hold it on my stomach or by my side and I have no problem. So if you like to keep a hand on it while using it, then this is for you.

for less than $12 I don't expect anything super high quality and am happy with what it is. It works great on my bed or on my lap and I wouldn't recommend putting anything with liquid on it as it's not the sturdiest. It's an inexpensive and convenient way to display my iPad Mini and works better than the fancy case I bought for my iPad Mini which was supposed to support it for display but doesn't. I had a small iPad stand that broke and needed replacing. All the tables in the stores are huge and I didn't want anything that big. It's exactly the size I wanted, but it's not as easy to use as my broken table. The iPad slot is so close to the edge of the table that you have to use it when the iPad is facing the short edge and most of the "table" is hidden behind it, which is awkward or balanced.
