I originally bought a set of the brightest version and my goodness they were bright with a light not found in the natural world. Of course I used them in the ceiling fan in the kitchen and the light was dazzling. Instead, I placed these bulbs in a crawl space (with bulb adapters) that isn't used daily but can still benefit from bright light. I really liked them but not in my kitchen. Bought for my parents in the kitchen earlier this year. The kitchen used to always have a dim light as the ceiling fan does just that. They had a mix of a 40 watt incandescent bulb and an equivalent 60 watt LED bulb that went dim (and started to fail). They wanted something brighter and whiter cold light. These lamps are undeniably very bright. However, they get very hot. Probably as hot as a 100w incandescent bulb. I'd be shocked if these bulbs really only used 20 watts each, converting that much heat from energy. Chamber sealed as is, I would be surprised to see them last as long as advertised. Also, incandescent bulbs are *not* 3000K "warm white". At least not the ones they sent me.
