I'm a repairman so I often need a hammer but it's not practical to carry a full size hammer. The grip is comfortable and balanced.

This is a good little hammer for what I bought it for. Not too hard. The short handle is great for knocking out the dishwasher spout under the sink after the plumber forgot before installing the sump (I'm annoyed). He also worked on tapping parts in place. Nice little all-purpose hammer.

I needed a small, compact hammer for my shooting bag. I don't need a hammer to hook things in my pocket. This ball torment hammer is just what you need. It's heavy enough to do small jobs. Small enough to save space in your bag. The black part is made of grippy soft rubber, while the red inserts are made of hard plastic. Lies well in the hand and you get a secure hold.

Everything I was looking for in a small hammer except the fact that the head is dipped in clear plastic. Once the thick, clear vinyl plastic on the surface of the hammer head is damaged, the hammer becomes pretty much useless, hence the three stars. The clear vinyl allows the hammer to resist rust and I'm sure that's why the manufacturer went in that direction. I don't know of any journeyman who would need such a coating. I will not buy any of these hammers again.
