Worst wire nuts I've ever used

Usually you have to strip some wire on both wires and tighten the nut. It didn't work with these wire nuts. Had to strip way too much then use pliers to twist the two wires AND THEN you can unscrew the nut but don't count on the nut holding it together so make sure your crimp is good before using the nut . Wouldn't recommend her to her worst enemy. abominable. The 10 minute job took an hour as I just can't believe I don't have a chain.

Great Product for Landscape Lighting - 12 Gauge Wire

I was a bit skeptical that this product would accommodate 12 gauge wire and wires connected to my landscape lighting. After a little practice on my part, these caps worked great. I installed them throughout the front yard that receives heavy sprinkler coverage and quite a bit of foot traffic. I haven't had any issues with disconnected cords or water ingress. Good product. I would recommend them for this type of application.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Protection

It's terrible.

I put them on 8 AWG wire paired with 14 AWG wire. First there was a HORRIBLE goo of silicone. That means if you want to secure them with tape to avoid vibration issues, forget it because nothing sticks after this mess. Then when I stretch tested them, they just popped out, releasing more of that mess all over the place. No it's rubbish, I'll move on to something that works better because I don't want to trust them in any way in a sea environment on a boat in the required range with slightly…

Very suitable for electrical cables

They are very suitable for sealing outdoor low-voltage cables. I used them, although I went to the extra step of soldering all my connections. It's a bit overkill, I know, but it only takes a few minutes per connection, and at least I never have to go back and fix anything. After soldering I used these and regular wire nuts and then wrapped the permanent connection with electrical tape. These nuts are a bit messy as the grease/vaseline will squeeze out as you squeeze and twist the wires, but…

No more wobbly wires!

My husband wanted to turn up our landscape lights because we had constant power outages. We swapped out the connectors only for them to fail again and we had to wiggle the wires to get the lights back on. After a bit of internet research I saw a failsafe way to connect lamps by cutting, stripping the wire ends, twisting the ends and using these moisture blocking connectors. It was a simple process that didn't take much time. I also went the extra mile to tape the wires together securely in…

Pros
  • Suitable for AWG #22-8 cable. Full list of allowed wire combinations
Cons
  • The wire is shorter than others

Great product albeit a little pricey

I bought these when I was replacing landscape lighting and was using 10G cord but found the connectors on the lights fitted the cord easily so I just used 4 nuts. I bought 2 packs :'-(The ones I used were excellent! I had to splice (3) 10G wires and (1) 18G wire next to a small goldfish pond (read wet soil) and it fit perfectly. and rolled up nice and tight. The sealant inside sealed them perfectly so there was no drop in tension even after digging in wet soil. As others have said the sealant…

Pros
  • Corrosion Resistant

  • Something different
