I have a 2012 Honda Shadow Phantom that I drive in the warmer months. I like the bike, except after long rides my left knee started to hurt due to the position of the factory footpegs. I could buy and install foot control extensions, but I still wanted a bike safety bar. I installed a safety bar and put these pins on the guard. That works great. The first ride on this combo was a 270 mile ride with me and my girlfriend across Michigan. These pegs worked flawlessly throughout the trip.

In general I am very satisfied with these road bike pegs but there are some flaws. Pros: They look great (same as the half price HD brand) and perform as they should, are a solid weight, won't slide or rotate around the roll bar, stay securely in place. I was able to put them on in about 30 minutes. Cons: No instructions (which I didn't need anyway), the hex keys that come with these pins are the wrong size and totally useless for this setup. Just what I needed. I had a couple of pens with a long mount and couldn't get them in the right position. That's right, because they are located next to the engine guard. You REALLY need a setup guide. I had to disassemble the mount to install it around my bars. PLEASE make the next version with a loop on the bracket. Another said the screws were too short. Not true. Probably, you can't expect Kuryakin quality at half the price. In general I am satisfied. The quality of the stick itself is very good. However, they could have used a better bracket and screw. It looks like it just got pulled out of the trash can at the hardware store. The cradle and bolt are just plain ugly compared to the stylus' beautiful chrome finish. I bought a set of KING SHOWDEM footpegs for my Honda Goldwing thinking they would fit and easy to install. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. The pegs came with no direction and had several plastic bags with small parts and Allen keys. Fasteners, ie bolts, screws that are not long enough to be screwed in. The set screws will break if you try to over tighten them. You will definitely need some thread locs or replace them with longer ones. The hinge bolt doesn't even go through the self-locking nut far enough to sit flush.
