Very Convenient - Datastore

It costs less than the included Acronis software. Once you install an SSD, you end up with a nice case to store the drive in, which is always nice to have.

Pros
  • Annual Trial
Cons
  • Exchange Availability

Although it was a pity the SSD drive I bought didn't come.

The kit had everything you need and more. While it annoyed me that the SSD I bought didn't come with these items required for installation, purchasing a Kingston mounting kit made it better.

It does its job on computers and accessories

The only parts of this kit that I needed were the screws and SATA cable. The bracket doesn't fit my computer, my computer already has a power cord to connect to the SSD and I have no idea how the small bezel works with this thing. Maybe it would help if there was something in the kit to explain it a little better. But the screws were imperative, as was the SATA cable, which is why I bought the kit in the first place. So in the end it worked :)

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Don't waste your money

This is a very high price for what you get. Also with software. I've only had trouble trying to clone a drive for a ThinkPad. I ended up using a retail copy of TrueImage and Ultrabay media. The disc case that comes with it is the cheapest I've seen. It was very difficult to insert the disc into the supplied holder and just as difficult to pull it out again. I spent most of my time worrying about whether a new $450 SSD could fail. I've tried several other drives - SSD and non-SSD - and all have…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
